this plaque 'A quiet moment' because that's all it ever is with a bully - a moment.  A single, fleeting moment when they are distracted enough to be absolutely still, deep in thought and totally quiet.  A rare happening indeed!

 She absolutely WOULD NOT go into the water, any water for a ball!  This is done in watercolour, ink and pencil on Arches 300lb paper.  It's not the first time I've used this particular image and won't be the last.

Well folks, I've finally managed to put my life size bullie pup up for sale on ebay and 20% of the final proceeds will be going to UK Bull Terrier Welfare.  I've also listed several prints mounted on tiny box canvas's, and again, 20% will go to welfare.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all will find new homes, especially the bullie as he took soooo long to make.

As you can see, I've changed the look of my blog.  Not sure I'm happy with it but a change is as good as a rest, or so they say.

My new feltie is a commission from overseas and has taken me approx 3 weeks to finish.  Course, I've not been stabbing at it for 3 weeks, just picking it up when I had time in between everything else.  I love this one.  Perhaps because she's mostly white and noticably female - yes, I do add all their 'bits' lol!  I made her leash from some vintage fabric that I have other plans for and it worked beautifully.  The leash even has a clasp and looks so sweet.  Her collar is needle felted and has been decorated with sparkly beads (well that's how I'd describe them - others may not agree, lol!)

It's really cold today.  I just fetched my washing in and it was nearly stiff with cold.  I hate it in the winter when sometimes I forget and leave it out overnight, and in the morning it's got fabric rigor mortis!  Try getting a pair of pants on when their in THAT condition, lol.

Slightly more realistic this one but still loads of whimsy - and, he has his own teddy bear!  Ok, so the bear is one I did earlier but I thought they looked sweet together, don't you?  I've put them on ebay for a 10 day auction simply because I missed my Wednesday evening deadline (I'm a dope) and I want it to finish on a Wednesday, soooo, 10 days it has to be.

with a sharp point - a paint brush just doesn't feel as satisfyling as a pencil somehow?  I haven't drawn much since I had surgery on my hand because it gets very sore after a while and stiffens up, over this long enough now so I'm calling it done!  I did add a few other bits n' bobs but they looked naff so I removed them again.  The background and the head is collaged on using one of my own now, so it's not quite the same anymore.  We planted a tree in her memory at the time and yes, we all visit and look after it (her ashes were spread there) but a tree can't hug you and say thank you, subject (usually a bullie) comes out looking like a half ton heffer!  I have know idea what's going on except that it 'could' be down to my wide screen monitor?  If anyone has the slightest clue
